Balaka Islamic Information Bureau (IIB) successfully conducted an insightful Panel Discussion on the theme ‘Jesus in Christianity and Islam’. The event took place at the Balaka Institute Hall and brought together 37 students from diverse religious backgrounds, including participants from ICT Catholic Students and Balaka Islamic Institute Students.

Objectives of the Panel Discussion:

  1. Encouraging Comparative Religious Understanding – The discussion aimed to highlight the differences and similarities between Christian and Muslim perspectives on Jesus (peace be upon him), fostering an atmosphere of learning and respect.
  2. Promoting Interfaith Engagement – By bringing together individuals from different faiths, the event provided a platform for open dialogue, helping non-Muslims gain a clearer understanding of Islamic beliefs.

The event successfully bridged gaps in religious understanding, encouraged open-minded discussions, and promoted harmonious interfaith relations. The Balaka Islamic Information Bureau looks forward to hosting more of such educational and interactive sessions in the future.
